Creating a better quality of life for everyone

Sustainable development is about creating a better quality of life for everyone now and in the future. calfordseaden is committed to minimising the adverse impacts on the environment of all schemes we manage and are continuously assessing our own environmental responsibilities.

Our sustainability advisers, including Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM (multi-residential and education) assessors and Low Carbon consultants, complement the other professional disciplines offered by calfordseaden.

In addition, to the traditional services provided, we also provide reports on the environmental impacts of projects on the climate and also how to reduce the energy consumption of schemes through renewable resources.

We are passionate about delivering sustainable developments, be it new build or raising the environmental standard of existing stock. Now, more than ever, there is a need to take a more strategic look at existing stock to maximise the benefit of the building fabric, whilst also looking at the introduction of cost saving and low energy technologies allied with educating users. By measuring the effectiveness of the low carbon technology solutions introduced on our schemes, we have measured the energy benefits against costs. We have also developed simple schedules of the most effective carbon saving measures on a range of property types.
