SmartLIFE, Cambridgeshire
calfordseaden were appointed as employer’s agent on this prestigious research project in the Fenlands.
The project involved the construction of approximately 100 dwellings on three sites using four different methods of construction and three architects, but only three different floor plans, with one timber framed, one light gauge steel, and one concrete solution together with a traditional brick and block alternative. In addition to acting as employer’s agent, calfordseaden provided a range of consultancy services including HQI assessments, EcoHomes ratings, lifecycle costings and general cost advice.
