Alterations to EU procurement thresholds imminent

The financial thresholds which govern when a public works, service or supply contract should be advertised by a contracting authority in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended) will be changing on 1 January 2012.
The new figures, all exclusive of VAT, have been converted from the fixed Euro amounts and are a slight increase on the existing thresholds. They are as follows:

These new rates will apply to procurements commenced between 1 January 2012 and 31 December 2013.
Slight increases have also been made to the thresholds applicable to works covered by the Utilities Regulations and the Defence Procurement Rules.
