Packington Estate, Islington Update
25/06/08
The residents of Packington Estate overwhelmingly voted to transfer
their homes to Hyde Housing Association from Islington Council in Autumn 2006.

This includes replacing the existing 540 affordable homes and the development of 300 apartments for private sale, all of which will be completed by 2016.

Construction has already commenced with the first new affordable homes for rent currently being constructed, including 109 canal side apartments and 133 terraced houses.

calfordseaden are acting on behalf of the Hyde Group as employer?s agent, project co-ordinator, CDM co-ordinator, EcoHomes
assessor, party wall and right of lights surveyor. We will be providing a project monitoring service to the funders.

New Primary Care Centre Handed Over
calfordseaden architects designed the Robin Hood Lane Health Centre for Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust. A flexible design that was able to accommodate multiple changes of use - before a brick was laid.

Continued Work with Birmingham City Council
Our architectural team in Birmingham are currently progressing a number ofnew build extension and refurbishment projects for schools and community sites managed by Birmingham City Council, predominantly as part of the Sure Start initiative. Two of these projects have been recently handed over, whilstanother four schemes are at varying stages of the process.
