calfordseaden were appointed by Nippon Express (UK) Limited to provide architectural and project co-ordination services for a £3.9 million extension to their existing Midlands distribution centre.

The project involved the development of around 7,803m² of additional high bay warehousing facilities to complement the existing accommodation.  This involved a planning application that included a request to raise the eaves height of the extension to 13 metres, to facilitate a narrow aisle racking installation suitable for wire guided forklift operations.
