Hale Village, Tottenam (Block N1)

Hale Village comprises a series of significant developments to provide 468 units on a former Brownfield site in Tottenham Hale.

This particular commission for a development comprising 130 affordable housing, key worker and rented units, forms a significant part of the development, being built to Level Four under the Code for Sustainable Homes. The engineering commission is for the design of the civil and structural engineering aspects, which comprise an 11-storey reinforced concrete framed tower block with associated 6 and 7 storey wings. The building is supported on piled foundations. The project incorporates rainwater harvesting which is designed to be recycled to flush toilets. Storm water flows from the site are otherwise attenuated to match discharge to the existing sewer network.
