Position
We are engaged in providing CDM Co-ordinator services and Health and Safety Consultancy on a wide variety of projects nationally, but predominately in London and the South East. We are seeking a Principal Safety Consultant / CDM Co-ordinator with a proven track record to join our team based at our Head office in Orpington and reporting to the Group Leader and Managing Director Andrew Shearman. This represents an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected and pro-active practice with excellent career prospects in a new post as a Principal Consultant.
Duties
The role would suit an experienced professional with a background in construction, surveying, construction design, architecture or construction safety. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of competence and thorough understanding of the Construction [Design and Management] Regulations 2007 and have experience of providing CDM Co-ordinator services. NEBOSH general and construction certificate would be an advantage, along with complementary recognised professional memberships, in particular RMaPS.
The successful candidate will primarily discharge CDM Co-ordinator statutory duties as defined within the ACoP and provide health and safety consultancy support. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to provide general safety advice including inspections and audits with support on all aspects of construction safety, including fire risk and training (internal and external if qualified and competent to do so). All employees are expected to lead by example and are to encourage, develop and support colleagues, whilst building excellent sustainable Client relationship and developing new business. This is considered essential to the success of the selected candidate.
Location
Close to Orpington railway station (Zone 6) and adjacent to the high street. On-street paid car parking is available, or alternatively free car parking is available a short distance from the office.
Hours: 09.00 - 17.00, Monday to Friday
Holidays: From 24 days per annum, rising to 30 days depending
on length of service

Training and Development:
The Practice is keen to assist individuals in developing any work related professional interests. The Practice takes training seriously, providing practical and financial assistance to all personnel.
