Position

Experience in the field of information technology with a knowledge of Windows XP/7 Operating System, Networking and Microsoft Office.

 

Duties

Resolving user queries and working under the direction of the IT Manager.

  • Evaluating new technology and software packages.
  • Resolving end-user queries and problems.
  • Resolving problems with software and hardware.
  • Restoring data from backups as required.
  • Day to day computer network management.
  • Maintaining the database of PC and dictaphone equipment.
  • Managing allocation and repair of dictaphone equipment
  • Carrying out telephone extension relocation, programming and general technical support for the telephone system.
  • Monitoring email/web filtering using Clearswift software.
  • Occasional travel to remote offices for fault repairs.
  • Carrying out other duties as instructed by the IT Manager.

 

Location

Close to Orpington railway station (Zone 6) and adjacent to the high street. On-street paid car parking is available, or alternatively free car parking is available a short distance from the office.

 

Hours:                 Weekly alternating shift pattern 08.30 - 16.30 and

                             09.30 - 17.30, Monday to Friday

Holidays:             From 24 days per annum, rising to 30 days depending on

                              length of service
