Our approach to service delivery on projects, in effect makes calfordseaden health & safety a "one-stop" shop for construction health and safety services.
Under the Site Waste Management Plans Regulations 2008, any client who intends to carry out a project on a construction site with an estimated cost greater than £300,000 (excluding VAT) must prepare a Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) conforming to the regulations before construction work begins.
The SWMP needs to be written at the construction design stage, but it is a requirement of the SWMP Regulations to maintain it during the entire project. Therefore, the client (or principal contractor) is also responsible for updating the Plan with the site's day-to-day activity.
For projects with construction costs between £300,000 to £500,000 and above £500,000, the regulations place specific requirements on the quality of information to be provided when updating the SWMP.
calfordseaden health & safety is able to work closely with the client, the project design team and the principal contractor to ensure a suitable SWMP is produced and maintained for the project duration. To facilitate this process all commissions are run on a dedicated web-based portal.
