As Chair of the South East Branch for the second year, Claire Martin has chosen Homeless International as her nominated charity. Homeless International supports community-led housing and infrastructure related development in partnership with local partner organisations in Africa and Asia. The initiatives are all led, developed and managed by the local community groups themselves. Homeless International is different from many other charities because they work within long-term relationships with their partners, rather than providing one-off grants for short-term projects.
Claire has asked calfordseaden to organise the Golf Tournament at Westerham Golf Club, Westerham, Kent on Tuesday 7th September 2010 to which she is inviting colleagues from Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Developers, Contractors and Consultants to support the event.
The competition will be for teams of two scoring combined Stableford points for each hole, teeing off as fourballs from Hole 1 and Hole 10 simultaneously. The day will commence with coffee and bacon rolls being served from 10.00am, the first tee off at 11.00am, and an evening meal and prize draw will take place commencing at approximately 18.30pm. The cost for golf and dinner will be £87.00 per head. The dining facilities can accommodate up to 200 guests therefore non-golfers are more than welcome to attend the dinner. If there is anybody that would like to attend the evening meal only places are available at a cost of £27.50 per head. Please contact Angela McLellan directly (details below) should you wish to book dinner only places. Alternatively, golfers attending the day may wish to invite others to join them in the evening and possibly take a dining table for ten.
Claire is asking for your support in sponsoring part of the day, click here for potential sponsorship opportunites and booking form. Sponsorship of a hole/putting green will enable you to erect advertising boards at the tee and/or behind the green. In addition, sponsors will be credited in the brochure. There are also a limited number of opportunities to advertise in the brochure which is given to all those attending the golf day and/or the evening meal.
This event always proves very popular and is usually oversubscribed so to avoid disappointment I would be grateful if you could return the attached reply form to me by 18th June 2010.
