- Health and safety policy management systems
The successful management of health and safety within a team or business unit begins with a clear and specific policy, detailing the arrangements and organisation necessary to achieve this objective. We are committed to working with clients in diverse ways, auditing existing systems, policies and procedures. This initial activity forms the basis for developing business specific, health and safety management systems or strategies. This service is offered in accordance with the requirements of ISO 18001, to ensure our clients achieve health and safety management solutions, in keeping with international standards.
- Health and safety policy
Where an organisation has five or more employees there is a statutory requirement for a written health and safety policy statement.
The health and safety policy should be concise and influence positively the manner in which all business activities within an organisation are undertaken. For various activities, good policy will guide the way work is completed, the selection of persons, equipment and materials for various tasks and the design and provision of products and services.
Working closely with our clients and obtaining a clear understanding of their business operations, the service we offer allows us to prepare new health and safety policies or review and update existing policy documents to ensure they meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and
other current health and safety legislation.
- Risk assessment
Detailed risk assessments as required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, Display Screen Equipment Regulations, Manual Handling Regulations, Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations, etcetera.

Our holistic approach to managing health and safety on projects as planning supervisor over the years provides us with the experience and knowledge required to meet the challenges of the new Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations 2007.
With a team of experienced health and safety consultants, with varied construction backgrounds, we offer CDM Co-ordinator services in accordance with the new regulations.
Our service includes optional site safety audits to assist our clients discharge their duty under the regulations, with particular reference to the need to monitor the implementation of health and safety arrangements established, for the duration of projects. We are also well placed to assist and guide clients to discharge their various other duties under the regulations.
- Site safety inspections
Active monitoring of the implementation of health and safety systems and procedures is essential for an organisation to maintain a high standard of
health and safety in the workplace. It measures performance and provides valuable feedback to clients, which may prevent accidents or dangerous occurrences. Regular safety inspections serve as a tool to achieve this objective.
We offer site safety inspections, including offering advice and guidance, to ensure our clients comply with current health and safety legislation.
- Accident investigations
Comprehensive reviews of circumstances surrounding accidents, either on construction sites or in workplaces, followed by the preparation of a detailed report to include appropriate recommendations to assist in the prevention of a recurrence.
- Fire risk management
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO 2005) came into force
on 01 October 2006, replacing most existing general fire safety legislation in England and Wales.
The FSO 2005 deals with fire precautions and other fire duties required to protect people in the event of a fire and covers all non-domestic premises. This includes offices, shops, residential care homes, theatres, hotels and other sleeping accommodation, educational premises and the like.

them to satisfy the requirements of current fire safety legislation.
